We also use the term master bench for our largest lounge configurations. A custom master bench is designed for generous outdoor spaces where size, comfort and a large number of seats are central to the design.

A Douglas fir master bench can combine long seating sections with solid beam construction, creating a striking piece of furniture that becomes the focal point of the terrace.

A scaffolding wood master bench offers the same generous scale with a more informal and naturally weathered character. The dimensions can still be fully adapted to the space.

Not every terrace is perfectly square. That is why we also build U-shaped benches in unusual shapes. Sloping sides, unequal lengths, recesses, offsets and other irregular configurations can be incorporated into the design.

With an irregular U-shaped outdoor bench, accurate dimensions are especially important. The design can be adapted around walls, posts, glass panels, doors or other fixed elements while preserving practical walking space.

A U-shaped bench with straight armrests creates a clean and powerful appearance. Straight lines suit both scaffolding wood and Douglas fir and work particularly well in symmetrical outdoor layouts.

For the cushion interiors we work with materials including HR cold foam and different grades of polyether. The most suitable foam depends on cushion thickness, desired firmness and the way the bench will be used.

A large custom master bench does not need to be completely symmetrical. One side can be longer, another section can be deeper, or a corner can be adapted when that creates a better relationship with the terrace.
