Our reclaimed scaffold wood for indoor use is carefully planed and dried to approximately 12% moisture content. This preserves its authentic character while greatly reducing the natural movement of the timber.

At Dutchwoodcraft, you are not limited to standard sizes: your bench is designed around the table, room and required number of seats.
Our reclaimed wood furniture is made from carefully selected reclaimed scaffold wood. For indoor use, the timber is planed and dried to approximately 12% moisture content. This makes it considerably more stable while preserving its robust and distinctive appearance.
A made-to-measure dining bench can be fitted precisely to the length of your dining table. You choose the width, height and depth. This creates generous seating without using more space than necessary.
A straight reclaimed wood dining bench is a practical choice along one side of the table. It can stand freely or be fitted precisely between table legs, walls or other fixed elements.
A reclaimed wood corner dining bench makes efficient use of a corner and provides plenty of seating. The left and right sections are made entirely to measure and can include a backrest, armrest or open end.
For an industrial reclaimed wood dining bench, we combine warm timber with black metal legs, frames or details. The contrast between reclaimed scaffold wood and steel gives the bench a strong contemporary appearance.
A rustic reclaimed wood dining bench is characterised by warm timber tones, sturdy legs and a timeless shape. It works naturally in a country-style, rustic or welcoming dining room.
A dining bench can be made with or without a backrest. A backless bench has a lighter appearance and can often be pushed beneath the table. A bench with a backrest provides additional support and greater comfort when sitting for longer periods.
Armrests can also be added. They may be fitted to one or both sides, depending on the available space, desired appearance and intended use.
For additional comfort, we can combine the dining bench with made-to-measure cushions from our own sewing studio. Seat and back cushions are tailored precisely to the dimensions of the bench and are available in a wide range of fabrics and colours.
The finish strongly influences the final appearance. A natural finish keeps the reclaimed wood light and authentic, while white wash, grey wash and darker tones create a different atmosphere.
A custom reclaimed wood dining bench can be coordinated with a dining table, cabinet, sideboard or other furniture in the same room. Repeating the same timber colour, proportions and metal details creates a calm and cohesive interior.
