During the economic crisis around 2010, construction came to a standstill. To earn money, scaffold planks were used to make garden furniture. This is where the term scaffold wood comes from. Scaffold wood is therefore not a separate type of wood, but spruce wood commonly used in construction.
At The Dutchwoodcraft Company, we manufacture our furniture exclusively from sustainably sourced wood. We ensure that all the wood we use is FSC / PEFC certified. We strive to keep our footprint on this world as small as possible.
